Our mission
Our mission is to halt and reverse the decline of species and the health of reef ecosystems in the Great Barrier Reef while reducing the impact of climate change. We intend to do this by encouraging people around Australia to use more renewable energy and create less waste while taking care of the environment and planting trees. Australia's Great Barrier Reef is great in every way. One of the world's seven natural wonders, it is a prized World Heritage Area, the largest coral reef system and the biggest living structure on the planet. It sprawls over a jaw-dropping 344,400 square kilometres – an area so large that it can be seen from space. 40% of the reef is untouched, 25% experienced severe bleaching, and 35% was moderately bleached. The scientists at NASA have concluded that if the temperature is to increase by 1.5 degrees C, most of the reef and its animals will perish. If more people were to switch to 100% renewable energy by 2030, the reef will slowly start growing again but if climate change continues like it is today, it would become too late to save. You have to do this and help clean the environment. The lives of millions of animals rests in your hands.
Our vision
Our vision is a world where renewable energy is the predominant source of electricity and power, a world where the environment is clean and thriving with a variety of creatures and coral in the reefs and a world where no one is polluting the waters and the reef has finally lived up to its name as being great and not an expanse of death.
